Embedding Technology with Ben Sparks

This free workgroup will give participants
•Knowledge of how, when and where to use technology – particularly Geogebra and Desmos
•Confidence to develop their own technological skills and use pre-prepared technology
•Support to embed technology in A-level Maths across their department
•Opportunities to share experiences and findings.

Programme
•Session 1 – whole day training event for both CoDe and Jurassic Hubs on using Geogebra and Desmos.

•When: 10 January 2019 from 10.00-3.00 at Exeter Maths School

•Session 2 – half day: When Either 12 February from 2.00 until 4.30 The Thomas Hardye School, Dorchester

•Or 28 February 2019 from 2.00 until 4.30 at Truro College
•‘Where can technology be used most effectively in A-level Maths?’

•Session 3 – half day: When Either 22 March 2019 from 2.00 until 4.30 at The Thomas Hardye School, Dorchester

•‘Creating a SOW incorporating Technology’

Or 25 April 2019 from 2.00 until 4.30 at Truro College

Participants in this workgroup will:
•be A- level Maths teachers who want to improve not only their use of technology in the classroom but the use of technology by other teachers in their school – i.e. become ‘technology champions’ for their school!
•attend and participate in the three scheduled sessions
•work on a gap task between sessions, sharing their experiences and materials created
