It’s not too late to get your tickets to the SW Mathematics PD Providers Conference!

There are still some places available at the conference on 27 September, the theme of which this year will be THE PLACE AND PRACTICE OF VARIATION IN MATHEMATICS.

This is a special conference at Exeter’s Sandy Park, designed for mathematics advisers and consultants, NCETM accredited PD Leads, mathematics SLEs, Teaching for Mastery Specialists and Maths Hub Work Group Leads.  Cornwall and West Devon and Jurassic Maths Hubs are part-funding the day to keep the costs to a minimum.  The charge is just £45.00 for a day of workshops, discussion and debate lead by some of the most highly regarded  speakers from across the mathematics community to include the following key note speakers:

  • John Mason and Anne Watson: Variation: the ‘big ideas’
  • Laurie Jacques: Teaching with Variation: Lessons from Lessons
  • Tom Francome: Practising Mathematics: developing the mathematician and the mathematics
